What is the Difference between a 2006 / 2007 STS-V??

Hi,

Since manufacturers usually tweak there cars after the initial launch (often refered to as getting the bugs out). Can someone tell me what is the difference (however slight it may be) between a 2006 STS-V, and 2007 STS-V??

as far as I know they did delete the "stealth gray" for 07 and replaced it with "thunder gray".
Now for 08 they come with HUD.

The only difference I am aware of is that on the 06, the radio up/down button on the steering wheel just does a scan up and down on the 06. On the 07 it scans one way (up I think), but does a preset scan if you push the other direction.

Oh.. Thanks guys. I couldn't find anything in the faq... Actually the faq. is looking rather thin for the STS-V. Hopefully that will change.

i noticed some bug type changes in the ecm programming between the 06 file, and the 07 file.

08 models are the only ones with hud added to it?

So far yes. The 08 gains HUD, Lane departure, and blind spot warning (besides side vents).

The 08's also have way more "brushed aluminum" on the dash around the radio stack in place of the completely wood panels in the 06-07's.

what about the keyfob?
Did they switch over to the new keyfob for 07 or 08?

so can you load a 07 ECM program on to an 06? to fix the bugs then tune from there?

If you havn't done this yet.... You should take your "2006 STS-V" in for the latest computer software update. You can referance this bulitin to get it done under warranty.

Here is the TSB number;

Models: 2006 Cadillac STS-V, XLR-V

with Supercharged 4.4L Northstar® DOHC V8 SC Engine (VIN D -- RPO LC3)
