Then it costs him $1000, plus whatever needs to be fixed to pass the 110 point inspection. But the dealer has to own the car and have it in their inventory. They must have a Cadillac service center to certify it. |

Retail is about 800 dollars from there the dealer just makes big dough. The dealer can work with a local GM dealer to get it certified.

He said certifed, which I assumed was the CPO, so I didn't give a price for GMPP. My friends own a dealership, they buy cars for themselves all the time. They always buy them and certify, so they get cars with a few miles and get 100k mi warranty. This is where I got my car. The dealer bought it at one of the GM auctions, shipped it to the dealership, certified it, then shipped it to me.

Thats what his dealership pays for each car they certify and sell to make money. It's not retail, if thats what they pay directly to GM, and then mark it up to sell to customers. Maybe some dealers are able to get a reduced rate for the amount off cars they sell. I think he sells about 35 used cars/month. But as far as I know it costs the same for every dealer in the country, just like the price of the cars are the same. GM likes to keep things pretty even. |

It has to be sold disclosing the reason it was bought back. Unless you are a Caddy mechanic, work at a dealer or have access to someone that can help you with repairs and discounted parts then I wouldn't touch it. I worked in Caddy Cust Assistance 12 years ago and handled the BBB cases. I even lost an arbitration for a shitty paint job. Now that is the car to buy.
Good luck. |

I bought my car through the gm auction, every car that goes through the auction looses its waranty. Since only gm dealers can by the car they all get to be cpo. But when you buy the car it has no waranty, you get a report of everything wrong with the car, so you know how much it will cost to get it cpo. |

He told me that the buybacks definitely have the GM warranty. He said that there were some many inspections that a buyback goes through that GM would not have a problem providing these cars with GMs warranty. I admit that I did not ask about the details of a CPO, but I did ask if the GM warranty on buybacks was blocked. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
