    Hello,
Do you have any other performance upgrades or are you just fine tuning the stock STSV? Your vehicle would really be able to gain from other performance mods....

    Thanks,

I'm thinking of working with Doug Levin motorsports on a Project STS-v down here in South Florida but he mainly works with Lambo's and Vipers but we're trying to work on this project.

I'm going to follow up on your project and see if your guys can provide a good tune. If so I'll definitely jet up to ATL!

    John,
I was looking into getting tuned by jeremy formato. His shop is in tampa, but if there's enough people interested he travels. Has great reputation with the corvettes, but does all gm's, and has experience with the sts-v. search him, and let me know if you are interested in getting him to come south, otherwise I was planning to drive up to tampa.

Cool dude, glad you were able to get it posted. Can't tell from the Y axis (looks like the scan just missed it) whether it was SAE horsepower numbers or not.

What is the difference between 1st and 2nd gear dyno pulls opposed to my dyno session that was only a 4th gear pull? AND we tried a 5th gear pull but we found out 5th gear redlines at 156 mph. He decided not to do that again as the dyno roller speed was a bit high for his tasts. Assuming we have enough power and tq to overcome drag above 156mph we have all of 6th gear to go higher.

Usually you want your dyno pull in your 1:1 gear.

    Re: Dyno Tuning tip list

Dyno pulls for most cars are in 4th gear. That is the closest 1:1 gear ratio in the xmission. Our 4th gear is 1:15.

Unless he's altered the speed limiter, the stock speed limitation should be 155mph. 4th should top out around 144-145mph.

Why the sudden loss of power at 3300 rpm on the red curve? Was this a torque limiter or TC kicking in or what?

We can offer you a Stage 1.5 power package that will produce well over 400 RWHP. Our Stage 1.5 power package includes Corsa Exhaust, D3 Dual Stage Intakes, and Torquemaster Plugs and retails for $2440.00. You will have to have the vehicle re-tuned for the additional parts. We just set someone up with this exact package and he made over 420 RWHP.

If 420whp is good for the 1.5 package, the I would assume that 385 is good for stock.

    Re: Dyno Tuning tip list

I am not done trying to get stock to around 410 RWHP with no mods and only a tune. I hit 390 already so I know with another session on the dyno we should be able to break into the 400's with ease. Maybe a little help from the gang here with providing me any kind of input on what to change or modify, we could get there. A couple of people are already looking at my HPT file so maybe they will come back with some more tricks. 420 RWHP is really my goal but I know that is going to be a streatch. It's probably do-able but we'll see if it is something safe or too aggressive. I personally don't have the money to replace a motor just for the hell of it right now.

    Re: Dyno Tuning tip list

Hey D3 maybe your tuners could send me some tips on what to modify? Specific to the STS-V.. I know you ran into the same problems I am.

Next session WILL have a new bung hole for a true wideband measurement.

    LED,

Has HPT helped you out yet or are you going to change to EFILive?
