Anyone know the Frontal Area Spec (in Sq Ft) on the STS-V ?

I searched through the net and couldn't find the specification of the frontal area on the STS-V (in Sq feet), only an estimated figure on the STS. Anyone out there have that number somewhere ? I'm trying to get a CDA (aerodynamic drag) measurement for the car. I've found drag coef @ .33

For the purpose of aero calcs, the frontal area should be (height - ground clearance to spoiler) x width. If you want to get picky you can add in the mirrors. Frontal area is a 2 dimensional figure so it doesn't matter that the highest point is not at the "front." The drag coefficient is where the streamlining and other 3D factors get counted.

Thanks for the info, but I'm really kinda looking for the spec as stated by Cadillac/GM for the car.

edit - since this doesn't seem to be readily available info, I've gone ahead an e-mailed some folks at GM to see if they can get it for me.

    Drag area, Cd (0.32)
Frontal area (26.3 sq ft, est):

This is for the standard STS, GM is not required to calculate the frontal area of the "V" option since it does not break the 33% production threshold. If you really want to be more confused, check out the 12 page EPA instructions on how to calculate this figure...

here is a real stupid question. Wh7y would you want the exact CD? It's not too dissimmilar from the STS and then again why would this be so important to know.

One of the input numbers a gadget uses to calculate horsepower. CDA, weight and a couple of other numbers I can't remember off the top of my head.
