Cadillac Forums: please help the new blood with mods????
No offense taken. My comparison was only for demonstration purposes. Not a direct relationship. In all fairness you did mention the LS1 as a possibility. That was the bulk of my amusement. Thrown in the LS7 and like F said Apples to Elephants.
Come on CTSV_Rob, lets go back home to the V forum and leave these old farts alone!
I'm on my way but a couple more comments...

Read back on the posts, I said "LS platform" not LS1. This could mean LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7, LSX, LSA,...
More of a meat and potatoes kind of guy so I prefer Elephant (LS7) with a nice side of Garlic potatoes (TVS1900).
All good fun, gald to see you all have a sense of humor and I think I will join my Buddy GM over to the CTS-V forum. (He is also on a bad path to Mod Hell's gate but I think he still might be in denial...)
There are prochargers already on the LS7s...they are making huge #'s. FYI the LS7 is actually around 550 out of the box, GM underrated it by a mile. With the blower, they are 750-800 rwhp. Now heres the rub....7.0L vs. 4.4L is an apples to elephants comparo. We have to be FI to get the numbers, just to make up the difference in displacement. Believe me, if I can figure out how to stuff an LS7 in my STS-V, I WILL DO IT!
Props to you, Rob, glad to see another V getting massaged.

Cadillacs Rule! - Out -
I understand your love for the LS motors, I love them too (I still own a car with an LS1), but the N* we have in these cars is pretty amazing from the box. With a little work you can easily get the LS7 hp numbers and beyond. Now if you blow an LS7, that's a whole different monster (a real cool monster).
You mention the LSA, that powerband has yet to be seen since it will be blown just like the N*. For me, it will be very interesting to see the power delivery it will produce in the next CTS-V.
GM is making some great powerplants nowadays, I hope they keep it up.
