Re: help-engine power reduced

Really? Shoot, now that makes me want to check out my install to make sure there are no sharp edges by any wires... Though I dont remember there being any loose wires around the stage 2 intake that could be cut. Was it one of the wires connected to the harness for one of the spark plug coils? Last thing I want or need is to add one more thing to the list of problems. I'd be interested to find out if your D3 ECU box trips your SES light as it does mine and velocity's.

Re: help-engine power reduced

it was a wire harness right next to where you put the bolt through the flange to hold it down. if you are looking at your engine from the front there are 3 or 4 wiring packs on the left side..it was the one closets to you...guess the old intake was more round and didn't have sharp edges....i never would had thought to check it though....glad my dealer did...

i will update you on the D3 box and the tripping once i put it back in

Re: help-engine power reduced

How did you think it ran with the box off? Does it seems to not run smooth? Just wondering.

Re: help-engine power reduced

Well after 2 weeks of not having the box hooked up, I tried it again.

Engine light went on after about 30 minutes. Started running weird and downshifting really hard.

Time to call D3 again.

Re: help-engine power reduced

See if you can get the exact DTC if you goto the dealer. D3 said that would help them determine what is causing the problem. They need to know if the fuel trim is running lean/rich and on what bank. Craig thought maybe something to do with our cars not being california emission specs which it was designed around. You might even be able to get OnStar to give you the DTC, but the lady I talked to when mine was tripped would only give me a breif description of the issue, not the code. She was more concearned with wanting to schedule an appointment for me with the service center, than answering my very simple question.
