Just curious, did you have the box mounted in D3's new "revised" location (behind the fog lamp) or in the original location? I have not had to wash my car since I moved mine and am just curious if the new position really does prevent the box from getting wet... I don't see how, especially if the wash has undercariage sprayers! For something that is exposed to the elements, your would hope it stood up to a little water..

Re: help-engine power reduced

Yes, I had mine located in the new location. I think it could be the wiring harness somehow getting wet at the connection to the plug.

I haven't hooked the box back up yet to see if it cleared it's issues. I will though as soon as the weather gets a bit drier. I have been driving my truck.

Re: help-engine power reduced

For those who are having issues with the D3 Intakes, please note: the air filter MUST be mounted at the edge of the intake pipe AWAY from the MAF sensor or you will choke off airflow resulting in lost HP and possible DTCs.

Please refer to this post below for ECU issues:

http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...exchanges.html (Warranty Exchanges:)

To recap:
If you have purchased a D3 Stage 1.5 ECU box for your STS-V and have a Service Engine Soon Light on due to fuel trim code(s), D3 now has a new tune available that will correct this. We are doing warranty exchanges on all defective Stage 1.5 ECU boxes. Please contact your sales rep for more information.

Also: please note there is a revised ECU mounting location that puts the ECU box below the air filter in the area just behind the driver’s side fog light. This will help to prevent any ECU boxes failures due to excessive heat. Please make sure the box is mounted just below the frame rail and not down at the bottom where it could be exposed to water or road debris.

Thank you

Craig
