Looks like you have a lot of experience pouring cash into performance. I just ordered the Cat-Back Performance exhaust system from my Caddy dealer. Has anyone out there installed it? My main goal is sound, (they claim "agressive growl") any increase in performance will be a bonus.

    Any advise welcome.

I had the Corsa on my CTS-V, you wont gain a thing. I actually netted 0 with a Cold air intake and the Corsa. With these N*s you need bigger everything (intake, cold air kit, exhaust, headers, heads) before youre into any kind of numbers....Remember, your motor is nothing more than an air pump, you gotta put more in to move more out. Since youre not putting any more in the system, youll net 0. Youll get a cool sounding STS-V with that exhaust though, but dont expect any numbers.

Hey, very nice F! Movin on up to a more mature V, I like!

Maybe Jason can snag his dad's V and you guys can get pictures of your matching V's at that QSL meet.

What system is that? The last I knew there was not a GM approved cat back for the STS-V. The only ones I know even available from the box are Borla and Gibson. The Corsa can be adapted from the STS to the STS-V with some minor exhaust work, but no Corsa is available directly for the STS-V. I don't know what to do about my exhaust, I'll probably just leave it as I can hear a bit of drone already on the stock system if using manual shift mode and I'm afraid that it will get much worse with a cat back change.

F, I just saw your pics, they look great. Still you know black is faster

I'm still tossing about chroming my stock wheels, they look great in chrome as did the CTS-V wheels.

Cars change, but modding still goes with the territory, sucks doesn't it.

Don't mind Silver Dollar either, he just has STS-V/Penis envy. Sure we are older and require oxygen, but still we look cool and the chicks still dig us.

So I'm game to liven up the forum, lets go!

^^^ I looked until I was blue in the face and only found 1 place that will Chrome our wheels. It's a place in California called showroom finish or something like that. I think the minimum quote started out at $600 each rim. + shipping. If anyone else knows of a place post it up because I am very interested in chroming my stockers. Every chrome place in the south east said good luck, as to do it right, they would need expensive equipment that had both + and - electrodes. This equipment is rumored to be on the west coast only.

Hennesey Cadillac in ATL did mine as a dealer option. They said it was 975.00 total for 4 no shipping included. General Chrome was the company at 770 751 8558. They are nice and real easy to clean.

Corsa is doing final fittment THIS week for a system for the sts-v, I am hoping to see MY system next week or 2 from corsa... I drove your 70k cts-v today @ Morris Cadillac... it was sure damn quick.. sounded so good I wanted to start screaming at the the top of my lungs... DAMN does it sound sweet.. I ALMOST thought about buying it for a minute.. but coming from a cts-v also, I know about breaking a few things.. I BROKE the carrier on my V, the first time, by SHEARING the huge bolts off that hold it in place, snapped them completely off.. My sts-v seems like it might hold up a bit better, no wheel hop like my cts-v.. Anyways, your old v was off the hook, and CORSA will have the system ready soon, one of Adam Morris's buddies has his sts-v @ Corsa right now as a guinea pig..

My CTS-V is definately off the hook...just a matter of time b4 they sell it. Someone is getting a huge deal on that car. But it will be a tracker only, not a DD.
