    Cadillac buy back program

Anyone get this letter in the mail about buying back your current vehicle. Even if yor in a lease. Looks like they will buy back my STS and then pass on all incentives to me. You have to call for appointment. Anyone run into this?

Why do they want to buy your car back? Did you complain about a problem that was not resolved?

I did when I had my 2003 DeVille,,something about giving you MSRP minus mileage or something like that,,never inquired about it. Seems like a sales gimmik to me,,what did your letter say...?

If it's similar to the letters I get.... it's a sales gimmic. The more people they get to walk in the door, the better chances they have to sell cars. I own a 92 Bonneville. I often get these letters from the dealership who works on this car.

It's just a stupid sales gimmic that bad dealers waste time and money sending out to customers, waiting for dumb ones to bit.

Ignore it, tear it up, throw it away. It's just trash, and a round about way of a dealer attracting some potential business...starting with a lie.

We used to get about one of these every 6 months when we had Chryslers, all thanks to the low-life local dealer...

    Re: Cadillac buy back program

When my sister owned a Toyota, she would get one of those at least once a month. During slow times she might get several in one month. Usually arrived in Thursdays mail for a weekend blowout sale. Half the time they would buy her car "no matter what you owe on it, even if its leased" and the other half of the time "there is a high demand for A-B year X,Y,&Z model Toyotas, we will give you top dollar for your trade and in most instances your payment will remain the same."

This is the kind of gimmick that give good cars bad names.

Learn to ignore them, you'll probably start seeing them more frequently in your mailbox.
