The answer is "You can't.". The steering wheel buttons only control volume and seek. There is no button to go from preset to preset and none of the wheel buttons are programmable. That's a feature I miss too.

Yup, you gave up the preset scan on the wheel when you got the heated steering wheel button. I miss the preset scan also but have quickly gotten used to just tapping the radio.

What a shame. I'm a channel surfer so this was a major disappointment for me.

If you hit the steering wheel button twice like double clicking a mouse it will just go to the next preset.

I just tried your way... double clicking on the steering wheel button... it didn't go to the next preset... I tried fast double click, slow double click, and very slow double click... nothing worked...

are you sure it is working?

It works with mine. I just hit up or down twice quickly and the radio goes to the next preset.

So, which button do you actually "double click"? The heated steering wheel button, or the seek buttons, or the volume buttons?

Hmmm... Seems to be flakey. Couldn't get it to work at all this morning. Yesterday it worked by double-clicking on the steering wheel seek button.

Re: Nav/Audio Scan Presets (Navigation System)

I do not think it works. You hit the tune button on the right side of the steering wheel (next to the volume button) and it will move to the next available station (i.e. if you are on XM 24 it moves to XM 25 and NOT to your next preset). If you click it twice, fast it goes to XM 26! I do not think you can move through your preset stations in this manner. At least it doesn't work on my 2005.

Tried it on my '05 today and didn't work either. Just moved up two stations on XM, same with the radio. It was an idea that I wish would've worked.
