    where is the thermostat located on my 2006 sts v6

    I took the intake off and what appeared to be the thermostat housing directly under the intake on the front of the motor and lo and behold- no thermostat where the heck is it??????
    I am getting the error engine hot ac off so I decided to change the thermostat

    Philip, May not be the thermostat. Have you check the radiator cooling coil. Could be clogged with leaves, road dirt. Is the electric fans (2) operating. Anti-freeze water level. Danny

    If it is your thermostat, I believe you can follow the lower left output radiator hose to the back of the engine behind the right cylinder bank. The lower hose connects the radiator to the thermostat housing according to alldatadiy for my 2008. I don't believe there was a change in this area between the 2006 3.6 and 2008 3.6 DI. If your going to do your own work I think you will find alldatadiy.com of great value!
