Alarm going off when closing the trunk

Alarm has been going off recently when I close the trunk. I use the don't hammer it down or anything. I think it's maybe because I'm popping the trunk without unlocking the doors??

Also, the car has been doing the 3 short honk thing when I lock the doors as if the keys are still inside, but they're not. Sign of the battery going?

Ben, Maybe the trunk button is bad. Try unplugging it. Remove the trunk lining and reach inside to unplug. Danny

There's a (rather large) black button on the lip of the trunk over the tag. That's so you can open the trunk without using the keyfob. Danny is suggesting to unplug that.
