2005 STS - electrical system gremlins

I have a "2005 Cadillac sts, and for a couple days now my car computer system has been malfunctioning. The driver seat has been repositioning it's self while car in motion, radio cutting on/off by it's self, doors locking/unlocking them selves, and every light in the dash board are on. And while driving Everything in the car will power down, but car is still running at that moment. After about 10 seconds of everything powering down the car will then shut off. I go to push the start button and the car is totally dead. Two people give me a jump and nothing happens. The third person gives me a jump and car powers back up and starts. Now I have to hurry and get home because if not everything repeats its. Has anyone ever had this problem

Sounds like a low voltage problem. Start with a battery load test and alternator test.

Just asking but does your car have an aftermarket stereo installed. I remember on my 2002 sts when I installed module to control the radio through the steering wheel buttons I had similar problems. The seat would adjust by itself while driving, sometimes pushing me dangerously into the steering wheel or pulling me back where I couldn't reach the gas or brake pedals. It always happened when I was on the free way. It was scary. It would also do other random things like move the steering wheel, change the station or track and many other things. I removed the module and everything was fine.

A car will start, and run (for a short time) with a bad alternator. But once the battery runs too low, it'll shut off.

MC is right on track... sounds like a battery/alt issue.

Ok, battery was good and the alternator was replaced. My car is still doing the same thing. What could this be?

Bad ground/loose wire. Serious RFI? Do you live/work/frequently pass near a radio/TV/Cell/microwave tower? Area 51?
