    New owner White 05 STS V8 N*

    Hey whats up guys,

I just bought a used white 05 sts v8 N* with 72,000 miles on it. I am very happy with my new ride so far. I have put some tint on it but thats about it. Some new mods i would like to do with my caddy is a E&G fine mesh grille. Boy those grilles look sickk. I was thinkin of blackin out my stock caddy rims...maybe use that spray on rubber-plastydip. HIDs are a must...thinkin of doing 5000K since my caddy is pearl whtie. Same for the fogs too we will see. Other than that im happy to be party of the cadillac owners world lol.

Thanks for the warm welcoming folks haha... So i had a question about tires. Anyone have any recommendations for a good quality tire for RWD V8 STS? heard mixed reviews about michelin. Continental seems like mostly positive reviews about them. I have stock 17s i believe. thanks

Get the label numbers on the door post.
They will give you a start.
Many local tire sales places have on-line search/selection ability.
The speed rating is most important.
It would be very hard to find a tire guy to install a lower rated speed tire than is required.
Even though you may like all other things about a tire, speed rating has to meet or exceed the label requirements.
Again, welcome, and remember, you are not driving an econo-box/rice burner any more.
These things cost money, and tires aint cheap.

Continenal ExtremeContact DWS for sure. Had them on my CTS and my STS came with them. I will be buying another set in a couple of months.

Tires are a personal choice, with many 'right' answers because tires are the easiest way to alter the ride & handling of a car. I found the Conti DWS to be a good value. If your need isn't too urgent, drive your car a while and get to know what you like and what you'd like to change with your current ride & handling and make a choice that suits your preferences.

    Congratulations on your purchase.

Thanks for the input guys, yeah I agree conti dws is an awesome tire. I'll prolly get a set of those soon!

So I'm pretty sure my caddy is a 1se luxury package. I was wondering what sort of suspension am I workin with? Am I missing out much with the responsive suspension? What's ur opinion?

    When they fail.

Nivomats aren't as bad as f55 but to my knowledge no one makes anything still. B&g makes springs so did intrax finding them is an issue though. D3 gets them direct from b&g and charges a premium for it.

    ahh..ok

then I guess the mix must have been higher 1SF and 1SG cars

I have never seen a V8 car without HID's on the road
