The 04-09 yes. It's the same driveline as the STS with the interior of a CTS.

2010+ FWD optional AWD no V8, best motor imho is the 2.8T which is D/C

2004-09 Better more driver oriented car. RWD optional AWD, best motor the 4.6 N* V8

I was looking for a 2004-2009 I think the 2010 and up are more feminine trucks. And I also needed the third row that's also not available in the newer ones.

    Correct!

Sister has a loaded 05 sport with the dreaded v6. Other than ultraview poping on chasis twist 1 rear mrc pump 2 ride level compressors and drinking oil at a rate worst than gasoiine it's been pretty good.

I have a hard time calling the 2004-2009 model a truck the 2010+ is not a truck in my eyes.

They're both "crossovers" and based on the ever-changing definition of a sport utility vehicle, they're considered SUVs. Definitely not a truck though.

I agree, the older ones had much more utility, and the V6 was not enough engine for it. And I don't like the look of the new one. Somebody must though. To me it looks like it was rear ended in advance.
Your sister's SRX knows the Pope? Is that the asian gasoline? ?

The new SRX is a joke SUV, I had one park next to me at the gas station the other day - the front of the SRX sits just as low as my STS!?!

The old SRX is just plain fugly...both equally far away from "macho"

I drove a 2012 SRX for a loaner. Nice on the inside, damn ugly on the outside, not a big fan. I'd take a first gen V8 SRX over a newer one any day.
