    Service Airbag

Hello all. Interesting situation here. Recently my car has been displaying the service airbag light.. The problem is, it's not constant. It is in fact intermittent... it will come on for 10 seconds, shut off for 2 seconds then come back on, and sometimes it doesn't even turn on. Any ideas here?

    Re: Service Airbag

Probably a loose connection under the driver or passenger seat. I believe airbag wires are yellow. Follow those and ensure all connections are secure.

Ah good theory! Come to think of it, there is a hideous rattle coming from under the passenger seat... could that be a cluster of wires perhaps?

    Re: Service Airbag

Possibly. Only one way to find out. It's a pretty common thing though for the airbag connector to come loose.

Update: I think you are correct, guy. I went on a trip with some friends and one of them adjusted the passenger side front seat and the light dissappeared. I think we've found the culprit

    Re: Service Airbag

It's happened on previous Cadillacs. I've also seen it on the ats forums. Good to see GM is making progress in that regard.

Thank god for this thread! Mine is doing the same thing but I think it's the drivers side not the passengers. Will look into it more

    Hence the supporting member status!

With the amount of money this forum has saved me over the years I could subscribe to CF until I retire and beyond! Through my 2 Seville's, my CTS, and now my STS its been indescribably helpful. There's no way I could've afforded to drive these amazing cars without the help/advise of members here!

OP, I had this same exact problem. Did a little searching here and found the passenger side electrical connector loose, haven't seen the message since.

That connector/harness is an issue on last gen Sevilles/Devilles as well.
