How do I connect my MP3 in my 2007 STS4?

    I have a 2007 STS4 that I bought used a few weeks ago.
It has navigation and about everything else, but I can't figure
out how to play music from my mp3 in the car.
There is no jack to plug into, and I'm not sure if the car had bluetooth.
If it does, I have no idea how to make it work with my iPod.
I appreciate any help anyone can give me.

If it has OEM Nav and speakers in the tops of the seats then you have an AUX input in the center console RCA style connection Red/White/Yellow.
Head over to a store of your choosing and pick up any stereo headphone to RCA cable (should be about $10) and plug it in to the console and press the aux button on the nav and then choose the video source.

The car should have bluetooth as well but remember how old the car is ... the iphone just launched in 2007 and this car was done long before that time. So it doesn't support bluetooth for ANYTHING OTHER THAN PHONE CALLS.

Alternatively if you want to spend more cash you can pick up an iSimple Audio Gateway from amazon.com and it will tap into the XM source on the radio and allow some basic iPod controls from the Nav unit and display track information on the screen (no album art).

The bluetooth is only for phone calls. Buy a 3.5 mm a/v cable from an electronic store and hook it up in the center console.
Then press the AUX hard key on the radio, then VIDEO on the screen.

Bluetooth receivers are coming down in price. I found one at Menards under $15 and Amazon has a selection below $40. Any of these will also use that $10 cable and you may be able to leave your source in your pocket!

    Thanks for the replies.
I bought the audio cables, as mentioned, but have yet to try them.
    Here is my latest question:
When I bought the car, I noticed that it recognized two of the
prior owners' iPods thru Bluetooth by name.
Perhaps the iSimple thingie is already installed?
Is there an easy way to check?
    Thanks

Nope it's not likely to be there based on that info.
Those were the previous owners attempts to use Bluetooth to play audio from the iPod which doesn't work an isn't how the isimple gateway interfaces.

The only ways to check are to press XM (from either AM / FM / WX) then rotate the tuning knob to see if it shows SAT/IPOD/AUX1/AUX2 as you turn the knob. Or pull out the radio and look.

Nope. They just paired the phones to the car's bluetooth.

You need to erase those. Press the config then the aux or bluetooth. Delete all old entries. Pair your phone first - read the manual on the exact steps.

Go back in and select your phone as the Default. It should now be underlined.

You can then pair a secondary driver's phone, etc.

If you did it correctly, the car will automatically try to synch to the default phone every time you start it.

And while you're at it, get rid of that i-phart, er, um i-phone and get a blackberry!

They are on the ropes & glassy-eyed. They used to be able to claim they were the most secure and stable. Now, they've lost that.

YMMV, but actually they are the most secure and stable, just not the most popular with GenXYZ.

Though not necessarily a bastion of security these days, the Pentagon just ordered up 80K units but haven't seen their requirements yet.

I have a company provided BlackBerry Z10, absolutely LOVE this thing! It is far beyond any previous BB device and the intuitive keyboard is second to none! I swapped out my iPhone 4S for it and don't regret it one bit. I just don't understand the Apple fanfare, it's not that great of a phone.
