    Magnetic Ride control

I am just wondering if my 2007 sts4 1sb package has magnetic ride control?

My car is in the shop again and the service adviser is quoting me about $1500 to replace both struts and do an alignment. He told me the struts were so expensive because they have the magnetic ride control. I know some 1sb cars had the mrc as an option. Thanks !

Look under the spare tire cover and find your RPO code sticker...If you see "F55" you have MRC.

An even easier way to tell is open the hood and look at the top of the shock towers, if you see an electrical connector you have MRC.

No clue if it was optional or not, but look at the RPO code label in the underside of the spare tire cover. MRC is F55.

    Oops, curtc beat me.

Let us know "IF" you have F55 and how you make out with your repairs.
How did you know you have the 1SB package ?

    Other than that, Happy Motoring.

    Re: Magnetic Ride control

You go into CONFIG, then VEHICLE... then in one of the options, if you scroll to the bottom of said option, you will see "TOURING or PERFORMANCE" for magnetic ride control.

I recently found this accidentally. Always thought my shocks were toast or on their way out because they were super bouncy going over speed bumps. Selected PERFORMANCE and it's better now

    Re: Magnetic Ride control

You sir, are in need of the firmware update for the nav system.
This moves those buttons to the main 'config' screen in the bottom right corner.
It also allows you to use the latest Navigation disc, fixes some bluetooth issues too and voice control as well i guess.

Yeah that's a strong "I guess" on the voice control.
