    Mysteriously Appearing Dent!!! UGH!

Discovered this little masterpiece Saturday morning...No clue how/where/when it happened...Definitely looks like something just fell onto my fender, no side scrapes or anything...Very strange and very pissed!

So, to any body guys out there, is this repairable or do I have a new fender in my future??? Going in for an estimate today to see if it's worth a claim as I do have a $500 deductible...

But the paint is cracked...Isn't PDR by definition paintless?? Looks to me like paint will most definitely be involved...

Possible, but it was never really parked where anyone with a bike would be...Also, it is slightly bowed out near the front of the wheel well, something heavy had to have smacked into it...I was at an auto shop last week so I am tempted to stop by and ask which bay my car was in and have a peak without telling them why...I do see some cream/light tan paint transfer so that's something I could look out for. It just bugs me not knowing how it happened...

It's too high up, the fender flare would've taken the hit from a shopping cart...Plus, I was only at the grocery store once last week and I always park far far away from anyone and cart returns...

Thinking like the Costco / Sam's club type ones are taller than the average ones.
it looks like 2 dents? maybe a lifted truck was next to you and they bounced their door off your fender twice?

Exactly! I'd feel a whole lot better knowing I did it or someone/something did it...But NO, no clues at all as to how it happened...I KNOW I sure as hell didn't do that myself!

$1,200 estimate from LaMettry's. Looks like I'll be contacting my insurance agent on this one. They said it's repairable, qouted 7 hours of labor for the body work...

Wouldn't a new fender be cheaper?

Ah but then you do have the white diamond expensive paint.
    Get the 08+ fenders?

Yep, it will need to be blended in too. He said it was easily $2-300 more just because of the tri-coat paint. I looked and primed fenders run $200-300. If I'm paying 7 hours of labor to repair mine @ the quoted $56/hour that's $392...Not a significant difference to me, especially since I pay $500 regardless if I claim it.
