I purchased a 2008 STS recently. Is has dual DVD players in the back of the driver and passenger side headrests. It is an awesome feature since we recently had our first child and plan to have another. Does anyone know how to be able to play the sound through the car speakers? The previous owner did not send the headphones or remote with the care when it was traded in. By even still, my 10 month old son would not be able to wear headphones. What other options do i have? Please let me know. Thanks.
Also, does anyone have headphones and/or the remote for this system they are looking to sell??
I think it's aftermarket. My 07 STS had them as well but the installation looked so good that I thought it was factory. They ran the wiring through the looms just like the factory. It however caused the battery to go dead after about 10 hours. I traced it down to a wire running to the battery.
I have those brand new in a box. I bought them on close out no return and they sent me the tan I have an ebony interior. Was going to dye them, but like most of my projects it's sitting in the closet waiting. Anyone want them?!
Also they do have fm transmission so you can play them through the factory speakers.
Ok, I didn't know if they were factory or not. They look great and they have the Cadillac logo on the screens when you tuen them on. I guess we will just have to buy some speakers that plug into the headphone jacks until he is old enough for the headphones. Thanks everyone.
Ludacrisvp, those are exactly the ones I have. They are great!

Re: Rear Entertainement system
1BadCadSTS said they have a FM transmitter in them to play to the car speakers, you will need to figure out the frequency and tune to that station or plug the headphone jack into the factory nav AUX input in the center console.
They aren't exactly "Factory" but they are made by GM for several of their car models, it wasn't something that the factory put in.
Dealer installed option type of thing.
