    Question Not a Map DVD

Every once in a while (probable a dozen times) when I turn on the Nav system I get a message that says something like "Not a Map DVD. Insert a Map DVD and try again."

Ejecting and reinserting the DVD does not help. Sometimes turning the engine off and restarting clears the problem.

    Anyone else have this problem?

    Re: Not a Map DVD

I have had my new STS since 3/3/05 and I have had this problem twice. Turning off and restarting the car fixes the problem. Now I just make sure the map is working before I take the car out of park.

I also had this problem, mine only occured with the driver 2 fob. I took the car back to the dealer and they fixed the problem, they fixed it but didn't tell me what the problem was.

    Re: Not a Map DVD

Hello there, I had the same problem with mine and it ended up being that I had a bad Map DVD. It took 3 Map DVDs before they gave me a good one. Hope this helps you out.
