    CTS-V brakes on an STS

I'm just curious would it be possible to swap the brakes on my RWD 2008 STS for the brakes on a CTS-V and would they make a big improvement in braking performance ? Also what would be required to make this swap .

    18" wheels with 40mm offset

    rotors

    V calipers

That's how I got them to work on the front. Forget the rears they are just eye candy.

Search I've done a post on it. I'm the only one who has done it to my knowledge.

Correct. They are 5x114.3 but the tolerances are enough they clear and work perfectly.

Not that expensive hahaha. Honestly if you check eBay or amazon oe wheels is selling a v knock off 5x115 with a 40mm offset to clear. That's my next expense so I can reinstall my brembos. I tanked my custom rotors and wasn't going to pony up 500 for another set nor do I trust wheel spacers. I have 250 in the calipers and it will be just around 600 for wheels so for under a grand I have a big brake set up that parts can be bought at any auto store to service as opposed to having to order from Baer or Willwood.

Brembos are not a floating caliper like the current jl9 or je5 setup. The caliper has the mount attached and does not move. To answer your question though the v spindal is the exact same spinal as ours so it bolts right up. The mustang rotor does require a thick washer between the spinal and caliper ears or it will rub the rotor.
