Headlight out...any help would be greatly appreciated. H11 bulb

Does the headlight replacement require the removal of the front bumper? I plan on replacing the pair. Currently the drivers side is out, and its replacement is a H11.

Yes it does. You should replace the passenger side headlight while you're at it.

if you have small hands and patience you can do it without removing bumper cover. my hands are not small and i can change mine without dropping bumper. remove airbox and get a 7mm and take the 3 visable screws off and you should be able to shimmy it out. you think a sts is bad lol try a malibu

Other members report doing it 'by the book' by removing the bumper cover adds 30 minutes compared to other cars. I can't say; Haven't needed any.

    Opinions vary.

I recommend replacing with stock parts. Also, I imagine this will be the first time you'll be changing the lights. Good move on changing both because the one that still works has severely dimmed over the years and will be very dim next to the new bulb.

Ok so--- installed are 2 new low-beam bulbs, and they look great btw but that little light in the corner does not match the new bulbs. How does one go about changing that little guy, and any recommendations?

Yup, the little doors on the side of the headlight assembly is the only way to them. I put license plate LED's in mine to match my HID's, it looks pretty slick:-)

Where did you get the LEDs? One of my front parking lamps just went out but I hear some of these LEDs can be unreliable. How long have you had em?

I have 6000k lows and fogs and will never go back to halogens. I know two places VLED and Diode Dynamics are good places to get them from.

What can you say about reliability? I've read in some forum somewhere, I believe a Lexus one, that the vleds are nice but don't last.

Thanks for the suggestions by the way. If its possible I'm thinking of getting them from the same place I got my interior lights, precisionLED. Just to clarify, it's the same exact bulb that the license plate light would use??
