    External Trans Cooler lines

Does anybody have any pics of the lines or what they did to hook up the lines on an external trans cooler? I'm just thinking, should I cut the metal line at the end of the hose coming from the trans that goes into the radiator and flare them or should I cut it at the rubber hose and just use a double barbed fitting to connect two lines together. The B&M SuperCooler that I bought just uses rubber hoses and clamps. Any help would be great.

Well, I can say, when I closely examined the trans cooler lines this weekend, I found the nut and the line are one piece, so you cannot unscrew them like you could for the past 60 years.

I'm leaning toward the cut and flare, as taking the radiator heater out of the loop can't hurt. I'm considering this, myself, though I wish the 2005 had a monitor for the transmission's temp.

That seems easiest to me as well, just wondered what others did.

I'd wager 99.8% have not even remotely considered it.
