    Work Commute

Hi I am a new owner of a 2008 STS with about 77,000 miles and I was wondering if you guys use your STS for work. I am an outside salesman and I was wondering if I should use it for work. I travel to the office which is about an 1.5 each way.

    Re: Work Commute

I work 4 miles away and I drive to work. You work 1 and a half hours from where you live?

    Re: Work Commute

I used to drive 45 minutes one way to work in my STS...Down to about 25 minutes since I moved in April. I get roughly 21-22 on the freeway at 65-70MPH with the cruise set.

It's a damn nice car to drive if you have a long haul...I would rather drive my Cadillac and eat the gas than be stuck in some little go-kart that gets 40+ MPG for 3 hours a day...

    Re: Work Commute

Assuming 1.5 is miles and not 1.5 hours ...
Mine is the daily driver for work... I just cannot stand an econo-box car.

    Re: Work Commute

I drive mine 15 miles each way to work...no highway, lucky to get 15mpg out of her but I enjoy every gallon of gas I burn!
I do try to drive my truck to work once in a while though just to keep things oiled and running right. It only gets around 12-13mpg.

    Re: Work Commute

It's just a car. Why else would you buy it?

If you wear it out, buy another.

    I love driving mine.

I even like driving my wife's!
