When I get out of the car, and the car locks, in about five minutes the alarm will go off. I disengage it via the key fobs, but it will come back on again. Every time I shut the alarm off, and locked the doors, the alarm will sound in about five minutes. I was at a ball game last night, and I went back out to my care EIGHT times because the security people were getting pissed off. They asked me to shut it off for good, or leave. Huge distraction to the baseball
players! And all of the audience. It was so embarrassing!

What about this to help me get through the weekend. Is there any way to lock my car without setting the alarm?
This will enable me to at least get through a church service until Monday to get it into the dealer.

I think you hit the lock button before closing the door and the alarm isn't armed. Try it I could be wrong.

It'll arm, even if not using the FOB.

Around page 108 of the manual titled "theft deterrent system." That's where you want to look.

You can get the pdf version of your manual as well. There are minor differences.

I understand how this can be frustrating to deal with. Guy.Seminerio provided you with a link for an owner's manual, which goes into detail on the theft-deterrent system and which could give you insight on fixing the alarm issue. Please keep me updated on the fix of this concern and let me know if there is anything I can help answer or assist you with.
