(new here) 2005 STS rear suspension

Hey all, i'm a new Cadillac owner, bought myself a 05 STS V8 loaded.

brought it to the dealer because I found it would knock hard on the rear when going slow over bumps.
i'm currently in the process of replacing the rear shocks, level ride sensor and compressor.

    my question is.

are there springs on the rear of this car? or is it just the shocks with the air bellows?

There is a spring. I requires lowering the rear subframe for removal.

I'd be surprised if the springs were bad.
