I love the smell of Continentals in the morning...

I gave them a final send off before being sent to the Springfield tire fire. Should have spent another 10 seconds stationary, but I wasn't sure how quickly they'd get to the cord. The last thing I wanted was a couple of flats on the way to the tire store.

Now I need to figure out how to best have some intake roar. Quiet exhaust, I like, but I love the sound of an intake at WOT.

Just take airbox off and put a 25 buck spectra filter on. It's gonna make your exhaust a bit muscular. But nothing like how mines sound, cobra with no supercharger on steroids

    Happy to do it!

It'll be a while 'till I come back, though...new shoes are pricey.

    The same ones.

For this car, they're the perfect tires, based on what I've read about others...both here and elsewhere.

Opinions vary, usually for good reason. Personally, I agree with you and have Conti's on my car. But I know others have different priorities and tires are an easy way to acheive them.

I have and like the dws but they don't handle the bends nearly as well as my p zeros. The dws have a much softer sidewall which is the obvious reason for it.

Re: I love the smell of Continentals in the morning...

The STS is my commuter, so I want more of a balance of impact absorption and handling.

Fort Worth roads are better than 98% of cities this size, but still...holes are everywhere.

I do wish the car didn't 'push' so easily. I'm sure it's slightly nose-heavy, but part of it is suspension design. In an attempt to keep tire wear more even, the fronts are at 38 PSI, the rears 32.

I consider your front pressures dangrously high if measured cold. Both our STS's carry recoomended presures of 30/30 and we rarely vary by more than a few PSI.
