1994 STS loses power up hills

My 1994 STS drives fine on flat roads but loses power severely when going up any hills. It has new plugs and wires and the mechanic says he cleaned the fuel filter but he never put the car on a lift and I understand that the fuel filter is under the car in the rear. I need this car to run for me. Can anyone help?

You're in the wrong forum. Try the Seville forum farther down. This forum is for the newer AWD/RWD models and not the sidewinders like yours.

Yes, could be the fuel filter, or fuel pump, or even the coil. You are in the wrong forum. You will get more help in the correct forum, as those folks will be mor familiar with your vehicle.

If the codes don't indicate ignition, check fuel pressure.
