    mirrors

I'm new here, and have tried to find the answer but unable to do so.
My problem deals with the outside mirrors. The driver side does not operate with the switch and the passenger side goes all the way down when you start the car. I've reset the driver settings and the exit setting and place the mirror selector switch in the neutral position and it does not change anything. Any suggestions? My car is a 2005 STS.

    Thanks

    Re: mirrors

If the switch is in the neutral position you will not be able to control either one of the mirrors with the toggle switch, you must switch it from L to R to control either mirror. Also make sure and SAVE mirror position for Driver 1 or 2 depending on what FOB you use. The passenger side going all the way down sounds like the curb assist feature which should activate once reverse is selected, but again, the mirror selector has to be set to L or R for it to work, whichever mirror is selected will use the curb assist feature.

Sounds like you might need a new switch.
