    2006 STS Radio Swap

First off hello, I'm new to the forum, and any help is greatly appreciated. Now...I've read so many different things when it comes to this topis. I have a 2006 STS WITHOUT the Navigation System, obviously I'm interested in putting one in but have heard of what a nightmare it can be to put in a factory unit but a post I recently read has me questioning that again. A member had said that he put in a factory system and it "fit" right in and looks great. Now the key word here is "fit"...he didn't say it worked but I would think he would've mentioned something about it since that was the topic of discussion? Anyway I'm looking to swap out my head unit and would really like to put in a factory Navigation Unit but am not sure as to the problems I will run in to

This question has nothing to do with Site Registration or membership help. Please read the descriptive text in each forum title to find out what's supposed to be posted there.

Moved to the proper "STS" forums.

What I would do if I had a non navigation sts would be to put an iPad in the place of the radio. It would fit perfect. Would have to be professionally fine though. Just a thought

It's not a nightmare. It just won't function 100% as well as factory equipped. It's all in the thread.
