    E&G grille install 2006

Hey guys, looks like the weather will finally be breaking this weekend so I plan on installing my new grille. Going over the instructions and it says the lower piece needs to be trimmed. For you guys that have done this, what is required? Is the track plastic or metal, and what's the best tool for the job. And any other tips so o can have everything in place for when I stay will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance guys. ....... kenny

I didn't replace mine but I did remove the oem mesh from the plastic frame, flipped the mesh, and spun it around which made the "brand new" side facing out and it came out great!

Where did you get yours from OP? Thinking of getting just the top from eBay, That's the place I've seen it the cheapest. Will be ordering on Friday, also looking for the d3 cover but no luck on that yet

It's been a while since I did mine, but I do think I had to do a little trimming. I remember it was not a big deal. I just followed the directions exactly.

    Re: E&G grille install 2006

Got it installed yesterday, wasn't all that bad over all, I did have to trim the channel , which is plastic, in order to slide the grille over once the double sided tape was attached to clear the rivets, by the screws. I used a cordless grinder which I had handle, but a sharp knife would have done the job. I did need to pickup a 8mm ratcheting box end wrench (my set started at 10mm) in order to tighten the screws along the channel. Smaller hands would have also helped lol.

There's instructions in the manual on how to adjust for that. Off hand I think it's the top radiator bolts, loosen those up and push back then tighten maybe? I'll check the manual shebang I get s chance.
