Fuel pump access under seat? (needs replaced)
I have a 2005 STS (v-6) with a suspected fuel pump issue. I was curious if anyone had made an access panel under the rear seat to swap out the pump without having to drop the tank. I own an 05 cts-v, and came across instructions that showed a step by step "how to" on exactly that.

Re: Fuel pump access under seat? (needs replaced)
I haven't done this on an STS, but I used to have a Saab 900, and under the rear seat had a small access hole for the wiring harness. I just took some sheet metal shears and cut the hole bigger, and then was able to replace the pump that way. It was really straight forward. Then, putting it back together put some grommet around the edge that was cut so as not to chaff any wires.
