    Thanks for the input guys. You all helped me make up my mind.... will look for a V8 in the STS/SRX...I own a 06 DTS and love the northstar...100,000 miles and touble free so far.

    The DI V6 doesn't add much torque.

    N* runs good on Top Tier 87; maybe a bit better on 89. 90+ is a waste, IMHO. Mileage doesn't vary measurably.

    Around here, it used to be $0.10 between the three grades. Now, it's $0.20 or more! (It's all E10 crap, regardless.)

    We have a few local stations that offer 89 for the same price as 87...Also have a few "pure gas" stations as well, I try to use those when I can.
