what is the tire size on the 22" ? I assume they likely will not fit, if they do you might have rubbing issues and / or speedometer errors.

@Scott9001 - did you have to roll in your fenders to prevent rubbing/cutting of the tires?
Trying to find out why all 4 of mine are rolled in and what size rim/wheel/tire was on it to need that.

I _might_ consider running 19"s but no more than that on this. Even so tire cost is enough as it is to try to justify going larger just doesn't work.

    Re: Are 22's to big

I threw on a friends set of Savini forged 22" w/ 255/30/22 PZeros this past weekend. Couldn't wait to take them off, MRC was wondering WTF I was doing and what it was even there for, and it took me 10 minutes to negotiate a simple parking spot at the grocery store.

They weigh about the same as the OEM 17s so weight wasn't really an issue, but if I want to feel every single imperfection in the road, I will drive my old STi.

To each their own, but I think anything over 19" looks ridiculous on these cars and the ride is even worse.

Btw, these were $7000/set wheels not including tires. 22" PZeros are around $400/tire. The last thing you want to cheap out on (other than suspension) is your wheels.

The last thing you want is this cracked_rim2.jpg when you're driving down the interstate.

With 22's you need a purple suit and a big floppy hat with a feather in it.

    Re: Are 22's to big

I'd like to swap my 18" for 17" wheels and more sidewalls. I've noticed not all wheels are advertised to fit all years of 2005-2011 STSs. What's the difference?

    I'll trade you.

Not sure why the same model, just different MY would result in a change in wheel fitment, IFAIK, all non-V STS models run a 5x115 bolt pattern. Backspacing, offset, etc. shouldn't make a difference from one year to the next on the same model.
