Hey, what do you know about brakes hanging up and how would I fix that? I replaced pads myself and last there is a sort of swish sound i hear coming from the wheels? Could this be the hanging up you are mentioning. When I installed the brakes got the pistons in all the way fine, how would I correct this?

I haven't done brakes on the STS, but I assume it has a slider pin similar to most other brake systems and there only one side with a moving piston(s) in the caliper. If so, did you re-lube the slider and make sure that it slides easily? If you didn't check movement, you can actually get it on there, and when you compress the brakes you will create a small vaccum with the pin slider that will hole the caliper in place and pad against the rotor.

To the original poster, what RPM's are you running on the freeway? The STS isn't much of a DIY car due to the electronics required to diagnose some of the modules. I wish it was more DIY and enthusiast oriented though.
