    Automatic locking??

    Can you set up the car so that the doors will lock upon walking away from the car? In looking over the manual it sounds like you can, but it tells me to turn to another page for more info...when I turn to that page, it refferences me back to the original page.
    I know it won't lock if a "remote fob" is within 3 feet, but can't it lock when I exit the car and walk away with the "fob?"
    I can do everything without digging the FOB out of my purse (open the locked door, start the car etc.), but after I turn the car off and get out, I have to dig the thing out just to lock it.
    Geez I am REALLY getting spoiled here aren't I ?!?!!

    I think you'll find what you're looking for starting around page 5-3 in the nav manual.

    STS Girl;

    Simply hit your confiqure hard key and go into "personal settings". On the right side of the NAV screen you ill see an icon for dor locking ( something like that). Hit that key and you will hae a choice to have the doors automatically lock after 5 seconds of the last door closing. It is a cool feature that truly will allow you to never take your keys out of your pocket..

    Have patience and read the book. It took me a couple of weeks to really get comfortable with the car. Even the voice recognition works better when you use the EXACT pharses outlined in the owners manuel.

    Enjoy !

    Re: Automatic locking??

    Okay I think I got it now. There's either a typo in my book or they aren't wording this very clearly (page5-7 of Nav Manual).

    THANK you guys for the help.
