    Questionssssssssssss and Opinion

I've had my STS for 3 months, Its now winter time and
I cant wash the car, If I decide to bring the car to
the Car Wash do I keep the Remote in the Car or take it
    with me ?

I've started to notice a Thump noise from the front brakes
when I make a Full Stop, its not there all the time, but most.
also, I've noticed alot more brake dust collecting on the front rims,
compaired to my older '03 STS.

To close the Trunk, I really have to Slam it, otherwise it
    looks closed, but its not.

The Trunk Light is just about useless, its best to keep a
    FlashLight in the Trunk !

I gave up on the Voice Recognition, its useless.

I miss not having an Engine compartment light, its hard
to show off the motor to friends at night I guess
I'll have to use the FlashLight I have in the Trunk !

Otherwise I love my '05 STS, its GREATTTTTTTTTTT

The trunk light in my STS is a marked improvement
over the one in my previous car, an 02 Continental.

When you go for a car wash simply leave your key "fob" in the car ( I leave mine in the cup holder) and your good to go ! The car will not look the keys inside.

Your statement on the voice recognition is right on. Perhaps there will be a software upgrade coming soon that will allow the stupid voice recognition to actually work. Shame on Cadillac for relasing such a poor version. I had a CTS prior to the STS and my wife has an SRX where the voice recognition workes perfectly....

No problems with my brakes and the trunk light and closing are OK.

    Hi KeithK:

I agree about the voice recognition. Basically a come on that is not worth the effort or money. Write Cadillac at their website and tell them what you think. I intend to do that and will include other items such as how poor the owners manual is from a teaching standpoint, poor paint quality, lack of interior storage, lack of hood light. I think your trunk problem can be adjusted by the dealer. I have had that done on other vehicles. My trunk light is adequate for what I expected but agree it could be better. I do like the car better each day I drive it although in 4 weeks have only put on 900 miles. Do not have occasion for long trips yet - being retired I do not have to take it to work (my golf cart instead). Enjoy the car and the fun of it.
