    automatic volume compensation

    I have a V8 STS with the SE1 package.
This included a Bose premium radio with a 6 CD changer.
My STS "Personalization Guide" indicates that the Bose system
has an automatic volume compensation feature.
So far I haven't found it, it would be a shame if
    a 50K automobile didn't really have AVC.
My previous car was a Lincoln, the AVC for the Alphine
radio/cd was very easy to find.
Am I missing something? If so how do I get to
    the AVC features.

You certainly should be able to hear the difference in volume when driving over a smooth road versus a noisy one.

    Re: automatic volume compensation

You have to go into the menu for Audio and actually enable this feature. I have the 1SG and there is a "music note" hard key that gets you into the menu. Not certain if you have the same hard key but just find your way into the audio menu and you can turn the feature on and off.

Also, the owner manual recommends you vist the Bose web site for more info on this feature....
