    Winshield cooker?

Whats anyones thoughts on the windshield sun shades? Ive got one in my truck, and when I use it, The suction cup for my nav unit always falls off the windshield due to the high heat between the windshield and the shade. So in my cadillac, with all the electronics on the windshield behind the review mirror, the heat must be extreme using the sun shield. Long term effect on cooking the electronics? I'd guess it must be atleast 200 degrees on a 100+ day.

    Re: Winshield cooker?

Thats a good idea. Im sure that would reduce the heat on the components alot. In Bakersfield during the summer it will range 100-110. A trip to Vegas or lauglin nevada can take it up to 120. Once when I had my 96 SLS, I actually burnt my fingers opening the door. Nice black car. about 117 outside.
