    Thanks !

I just wanted to say thanks to all the members here , ive been in the market for a used cadillac for a while , so i thought id do some reserch first before buying . i found a 2009 sts 4 v8 priemium luxery sport package , beautiful car , black on black , just what i wanted . only problem was it had a tick to it , i read all about the cold carbon rap , piston slap, running W.O.T,S, and the problems associated with GM,S net build process . so i was confident the problem could be resolved and went ahead with the purchase . took the car out and ran some WOTS seemed to help a little , next i ran some techron threw it , and also did the top engine cleaner ,it was still ticking , once i got the paper work to get it registered and taged i took it to my local cadillac dealer , tech diagnosed " piston noise" , after a complete teardown found cylinder bore to piston diamater out of spec , and less than two weeks later i have a new engine !!! completely warrentyed , only cost me 10 bucks for the rental car ! FREAKIN AWESOME , THANKS AGAIN GUYS ......

    Re: Thanks !

You made out like a bandit! That engine costs around $10,000 new if my dealership shop manager is not lying to me. I can't find any on the internet to verify that but it seems like a lot.
