Got my car back today. They repaired my shifter linkage, did an oil change, fixed the engine leak and replaced the drivers door handle for a wopping $1350. Til next time.....so long.

PS: that price included 6 days of car rental which I quesstimate at around $258 which is about $43 a day.

thanks........my relay works every so often...your problem was different in that your antenna was tapped out. All I need is the relay replaced in the door or a new can of contact cleaner to squirt in every few weeks.

It was nice, it was a 2011 STS (Black with Grey interior). And yes I was under warranty. ( Another good move on my part for buying an extended warranty). So my $3400 has returned over $6000 in repairs back.

    Re: car in for service

So, I took the car back Monday and 2 hours later was told they could not find a leak and it must have been residual coolant from earlier. Pulled out of the garage today and there are three orange puddles looking up at me. The car is back at the dealer and they gave me a freaking Chevy HHR to drive...hate it!

At my last service the dealer added dye to my oil and after bringing it back today they found another oil leak. I got a 2011 DTS until it is repaired. Dealer said about a $3000 repair. More info later.

    Re: car in for service

Got my car back this Noon and here's what they did. They replaced the " oil manifold lower crankcase seals".
The bill came to $3135.14 which included 3 days of car rental at $90 per invoice.

By the way....The DTS rental that I had was super sweet and rode like a cloud. It was one of the better models. It had navi, moonroof, wood trim and a lot more. It was very nice.
