I put a Corsa on my v8, love it, NO drone, just a nice throaty V8.....I hear it when I tickle the radiator with my toe, and with the windows down under an overpass when I rev it for fun....but no headache, no aspirin, and a lot of compliments....

Did you cut your resonator out yet. I'm very curious to see what it would sound like before I take mines off.

I removed my resonator and I hate it on idle but flooring it sounds ok. Right now thinking of magnaflow or Gibson exhaust. Also if anyone has part number for Gibson exhaust

Magnaflow doesn't make an exhaust. Corsa gm performance (borla) and Gibson are it. Google is your friend.

    Re: exhaust sound

If you remove the res then put an x pipe or h pipe on it. they say paint it and see where the paint starts to burn is where the x/h pipe should go. And i never heard corsa in person but i had 2.5 piping and dynomax turbo ulta flo on my other caddy and it was a deep rumble at idle and wot would have you thinking no way in hell thats a caddy, sounded v8 hotrod but more tamed with a one of a kind sound. my sts im just gonna x pipe it and slap some spiral flows in the back. And do the sts-v headers fit lh2's??? i know theres no room to work with but i want headers.

    Re: exhaust sound

I must say, the GM performance exhaust option sound nice. I tried installing a Gibson on my 2005 N*, but it hangs too low - meant for the lower rear bumper on the Vs and late model STS. Also the pipe doesn't bend downwards by the differential, and, if the mount hooks were bent to make the muffler fit nicely, the pipes would hit against the sway bar. That said, I have the option of making this $400 exhaust custom fit for an additional $300 or more, or buy a different set up meant for my vehicle.

The Corsa sounds okay, but it's a bit European sounding - higher pitched. IMO the Cadillac should show off it's american V8 heritage, and sound like Gibson and Borla would do a better job. Borla's non-V exhaust has been discontinued (and were originally listed for $1200-$1400, but the GM performance exhaust has identical mount set up when compare to my stock exhaust (Gibson's mounts are located on top of the muffler can vs. around the muffler tip, making it hang lower).

For the same $1000 the Corsa costs, I'd rather buy the cat-back GM performance exhaust. The question is, how good does it sound? Some have mentioned that it's basically a Borla, but did GM downgrade anything to cut costs? Any one experience one of these? I feel like installing one of those myself and having a cat-back exhaust would be better then hacking away at the Gibson and then welding it into place in hopes that it works properly.
