I will be able to show you on Friday. I'm cutting mine out and putting in a H pipe. I will make a video and post it after that.

    Re: exhaust sound

it will equalize the exhaust pressure coming out of both exhaust pipes, so it would definitely alter the sound of the exhaust with aftermarket exhaust anyway, can't wait to hear how it sounds though.

Sounds good, corsa has more of a harder sound sure to the smaller tip, I prefer the sound of mine though, simply BC I love three way it sounds, much deeper I'd say! Nice though!
Smaller tip? it has dual 3.5 inch tips. The reason they state for use on the 05-07 only is the 08+ Fasica has a lower curve for the exhaust and smaller outlet, the tips wont fit unless you install a longer hanger to move them down.

yeah smaller tip, it's smaller than my tip. bigger tip deeper tone! I'm sure you can distinguish the difference between my sound and yours.

How big is your tip again mines 3.5 inches and the tip has little effect on the sound. The corsa runs a straight through muffler nicknamed a can no baffles. Your Gibson uses baffles which is why it is flat style. I worked at an exhaust shop for 10 years I know how exhaust systems work and flow better than most. Tips effect how it's projected not the true tone of the system.

    Re: exhaust sound

I will measure it soon, the way a sound is reflected has allot to do with the overall sound! since no one seems to be riding around tipless its a factor that sculpts the overall sound. Would live to hear your caddy in action, get that video up!

    ----------

If you don't mind man, give me a lil more insight between the pros and cons of baffle vs straight through design. I love that popping sound when you let off the gas on your ride, my baffles are restricting that I assume.

Difficult to drive film and play with auto stick so short idea will film better later

Baffle can adjust sound tones that's how you can have a dohc motor sounding like a 60s pushrod motor. Corsa uses a straight flow design with an almost resignatior like perforated muffler designed to cancel out bad tones (drone) and allow the exhaust to free flow for better performance than a restricted baffle design. This also gives the true tone of the motor which is why Corsa sounds more exotic like a dohc high revving motor.

Projection and amplification are two things tips project they don't amplify the sound. Made a tone with your mouth and cup your hands around it. If you keep the same volume throughout the difference in size does nothing to amplify the sound it just adjusts how it's projected.

The baffles in your mufflers do far more to hinder its performance than my .5 less size tip (assuming you have a 4 inch tip to my 3.5).
