    How open the CD/DVD changer to clean the lens ?

    Hello,
    I want to open the 6 CD/DVD changer because I want to clean the laser lens.

    How can I open these player ?

    Its a 05' STS with navigation and changer.

    I have no idea. Have you considered using one of the commercially available lens cleaning discs?

    I can not play a cleaning CD, because the player don't play it...

    I wouldn't try it. If you do it yourself anyway, use the Lockpick installation guide to remove the unit. From there, I recommend great caution.

    A professional car audio shop will likely save you a lot of trouble, and probably $$$.

    Hello,
    the installation guide is OK to remove the unit...
    but I want open the CD/DVD player because I want to clean the lense.

    Now, I can not find a professional car audio shop for Cadillac / Delco or Bose here in Germany.
    All shops can repair BMW, Porsche or other european cars not GM...

    I would think that regardless of the name on the outside of the unit that the CD/DVD laser assemblies are the same on the inside.

    I have the same problem, i bought cd cleaning lens disc and i just get Disk Error .. So I need to take out the disc changer or take it to a professional but since I only use my ipod I haven't really need it
