    STS sway bar mod

I have been putting a lot of work into my 05 STS4 1SG since I bought it.
    To date it has:
    Corsa Exhaust
    Volant Intake
GM Accessory CHMSL and Side Lamps
V Series Door Panels and Center Console
    08+ Strut Tower Brace
    Tomm Lockpick
    and
    UPac-STS

Today I just recieved my front V series sway bar and would like to report it looks IDENTIAL and will be a bolt on mod for any STS (RWD or AWD)

AWDs share the same size rear sway bar (24MM) however the RWD have a much smaller bar depending on V6 or V8, but the front on AWD are 32MM and the Vs are 36MM while the standard RWD V6 and V8 I know fall short of the 32 on the AWD.

With that said I plan on installing this weekend and shall report back.

Actually the V8 &V6 RWD front sway bars do not fall short but are the same size as the AWD, it's the rear sway bars are smaller than the AWD(17 & 19mm-RWD, 24mm-AWD) for info purpose only

    Re: STS sway bar mod

    It's a great mod!
The ride is solid yet smooth.
Be sure to use polyurethane bushings to get the most out of the sway bars.

Energy Suspension makes them for the rear V sway bar and you can get them from Kragen-O'Reilly Auto Stores for around $20 or so w/brackets and grease fittings.
The fronts you can get from Johnny Spiva up in Coos Bay, Oregon.
He custom made them for the front STS V-Series sway bar since no one makes them.
    His company is PolyBushings.com

    ^X2
Even on my 1SG AWD the 3~4 MM increase to me is noticable but I also drive my car like I stole it.

    Re: STS sway bar mod

Keep in mind that the bushing for the LEFT (driver) SIDE goes around the lip and on the RIGHT (passenger side) does NOT go in the bushing.
It took me a few attempts to try and get it that figured out and the drivers side front bracket bolt is a PITA to get to.

    Re: STS sway bar mod

No. I have a 1SG AWD and the rear bar is the same diameter as the V so it seemed pointless to me. I was going to do poly bushings as well however I didnt want to pay for those and find out it wouldnt fit.
