1998 STS motor swap with a 1998 SLS motor

This is my first time ever posting to a message board...so here it goes...I have a 1998 STS with 110K miles...I am changing out the motor with a 1998 SLS motor. I am only doing this because when I bought the car, I did not check the antifreeze and when I left it outside in the 10 degree weather, cracked the block! Please tell me that this swap is possible. The SLS motor I am putting into my STS, we have already put Timeserts in and new head studs (learned that much since reading these boards). The mechanic doing the work swears that all is going to be okay with my STS transmission and the SLS motor I bought from him...but I really would like to hear from you guys in CadillacOwners forum. Thanks for your all help! Kevin in Knoxville, TN.

You are in the wrong part of the forum. This is for 2005 and later STS's. You'll have better luck posting the question at the forum for your car.
