    Foglight Out....

I'm not into throwing $50 away at a dealer to change my foglight so I wanna know how to change it. Can anyone provide some instructions on how to get to the bulb so I can replace it?

Funny my driver side light is out on my car. I finally figured out to turn them on and discovered it was out. I don't know if you can have them come on automatically with the head lights. Bought another one but looked under the car and thought hum...do I have time for this. Hope its easy otherwise I'll just pay the cash.

I have the same one out, driver's side fog light. It drives me insane!!! I love my fog lamps and always have them on whenever my exterior lamps are on. Having one out really ****s with my OCD. My cars have to be perfect or else I'm not happy.....

    Re: Foglight Out....

Having the car up on a lift would be a big help. In any case, remove the leading edge pull pins/tabs on the inside wheel well covers, maybe 5 or 6. I think there are also about 3 on the bottom. Then pull the wheel well covers away from the body, inward. Naturally the side you are working on will have the wheel turned and locked all the way in. Having them off would work well also. I found that putting an object to keep them open and away from the body helps. Now once in side you will see a large round cap, that cap screws off counter clockwise and in there you will find the fog bulb. A little tricky working in there but a do it yourself project. I would change both bulbs to insure equality in light and longevity. DO NOT touch the new bulbs with bare fingers, and you MUST test them before putting everything back together.
There should be other posts in the system describing the process, that's how I learned. Good luck, Joe P

Wow, sounds like a pain in the ass, haha. Thanks, I don't have HIDs by the way, just the regular projector lights. I'll have to get going on this when I've got a chance.....

It is very easy. The way Joe described it is exactly how to do it. I've already done twice (to the driver's fog light) and not im about to do it for the 3rd time. I dont know if i have a short somewhere or what!!

I'd like to swap my low beam lights for Silverstars, I hope they're easier to get to. I plan to use my Sunday to change the foglamp.....

That's 'by the book'. Some members have replaced lights without removing the bumper cover but it takes more dexterity.

I'm pretty scrawny, especially my arms. Can I get at them from under the hood or maybe from below?

    Re: Foglight Out....

Im skinny too and I tried taking the air box out and trying that way. IMHO it is WAYYYY more a PITA to try that then just to take the bumper cover off.

Just take the bumper cover off, replace your burnt out fog light bulb and change your low beams while your at it.
