When I bought my 05, there was no Navigation Disc. I still have an IOU from the dealer, but supposedly they are so backordered, I still haven't gotten mine after about 4-5 months now????

I've been told the dealer can't get them from GMNavDisk.com. Pester them and they will grab one out of the next STS that comes in.

    Re: STS Navigation Disk

What in the world are you folks talking about?
GM hasn't made an "east coast" or "west coast" disc since 2003 on a CD based system in CTS. (and older CD based systems)

You go into the system settings and change the region on the disc to alter the database of POI and street names.
    I am so confused.
There is only one disc, unless you want the one for the "Middle East" which is not in the USA BTW.

Your dealer(shame on them) is pulling your leg because they are available at this time and have been for some time now.

Version 4 comes in a case which has 2 disks. One is "west" and goes from Cali to Indiana, the "east" goes from Indiana to the coast. When you have the west coast disk in you can't choose PA when you select your region.

I certainly haven't seen that but I guess just because I haven't seen it doesn't mean it isn't true.

    Re: STS Navigation Disk

So nobody with an east coast disk looking for a west coast disk? OK so my second option is to buy it if any body has an extra disk for the east coast or something (I read that there's a 2 disk set that some models had) I'm willing to pay up to $50.00 please let me know I really need a east coast nav disk.

    Re: STS Navigation Disk

It doesn't affect the core Navigation. The only difference is POI's. But I understand your need; there are bum's that split the disks apart to make a profit.
