LED Turn Markers Has anyone here replaced their side turning signals (the ones on the fender) with LEDs? If yes, which bulb type did you use?
Thanks! Re: LED Turn Markers send me a pm, I can assist you! Re: LED Turn Markers They are 192/194 bulbs. You can get them at some auto parts stores. Better yet is v-LEDs or autolumination Re: LED Turn Markers 194 LED bulbs i Did the whole car conversion to LED and it cost me a pretty penny.. I suggest you get the bulbs off ebay Re: LED Turn Markers Yeah, I was thinking about going all LED however little bits at a time. I figured I would start with the side markers (front and back), side blinkers, reverse and license plate lights.

Does this sound about right?
From your experience the light covers can pretty much be removed with a flat blade screw driver?
Thanks! Re: LED Turn Markers There is a complete bulb size guide in the facts and is accurate.
The side markers you can't pop out you have to remove the wheel liner. You don't have to take the wheel off just turn it one way all the way. Then you take some black plastic clips out. After that the aide marker light twists and the bulb and socket come out.
The reverse lights you have to take the trunk liner out. The part on the inside of the trunk then they turn and come out also.
Dunno about the license plate lights but I assumeyou can get to them when you are changing the back up lights. Re: LED Turn Markers To those who changed signal lights, was there any problem with the lessened load, ie, fast blinking due to the car thinking the light was blown out or anything like that? Re: LED Turn Markers Yes you will get the hyper blinking and maybe a light out warning.
You need a digital blinker. One for GM vehicles obviously.
They sell them on V-leds.com and autolumination.com.
I wouldnt use resistors as they get so hot and even with a backing plate to mount them to I dont like the idea of all that heat. Re: LED Turn Markers Another member posted that our cars don't have blinkers. The sound is synthesized by the Bose!
To get proper operation, you need specific LED replacements. I wasn't that interested in doing so but there is a thread on it.
Try the search function or give this thread a couple days. Re: LED Turn Markers I read a thread the other day from a couple weeks ago that a member said he put LEDs in the blinkers and had to use a digital flasher.
I know a lot of the sounds are through the amp but not sure about the blinkers. I am also not sure what kind of digital flasher he used maybe it was a relay. I dunno I'll try to find the thread. Re: LED Turn Markers As I recall, the thread was not a recent one (> 1yr?) I think the more recent replacements had the flasher frequency issue.
This is not an uncommon issue. Many people don't care if their cars don't conform. I would, but I'm just a baby step from AR. (Some would say past...) Re: LED Turn Markers I have never done anything with the blinker, but have replaced the side markers with LEDs.
I think next time I am going to use 10mm LEDs vs the 5mm here.
Bryce Re: LED Turn Markers any way to get that housing clear? Re: LED Turn Markers Theres a guy on eBay that will clear the sodemarkers. You can either buy new ones from him that he clears or send yours in.
So it can be done. Re: LED Turn Markers hello there new friend, do u have the name or item#?
